I have come to realize that every special moment I have with Caleb is indeed my blessing
and it is God's grace that I may witness these moments..

so let alone the copycat steal, create, reinforce my moment to happen with her child..
she re-created them!
but mine is special..because God creates them for me..and it's deeply meaningful and irreplaceable.
no matter how she copied it..it wont be the same..the joy wont be the same..she will never ever be like me n caleb..no matter how hard she tries
so... i will forget about this and don't bother in future..

truss dulu dia denger ceritaku kalo caleb baru aja aku ajarin kiss mommy wkt 7 bln gitu and caleb uda ngerti..cuma dia baru bisa tempelin dahinya ke pipiku..
ehh dia langsung ajarin anaknya hari itu juga and besoknya uda ditulis di FB kalo anaknya jg uda bisa kiss mommy walau ngga perfect..cuma kepalanya maju2 ditempel di pipi -->sama persis kannnn!!!
trus aku cerita kalo caleb uda bisa panggil mama..padahal last month panggilnya wawa..
besoknya lgs ditulis di FB kalo anaknya jg uda bisa panggil wawa yg artinya mama
OMG!!!

then di BB juga...aku tulis give thanks in everything...dia tulis give thanks juga
and dari awal punya BB, my nickname is always C4L3b's Mum...ehhh dia ikutan lohh...dia tulis nama anaknya ......'s Mum...sama persih huruf A pake angka 4 dll...OMG OMG!!!

trus pas dulu pertama kali aku pajang foto caleb berenang...bbrp hari stlh itu dia jg pasang foto anaknya berenang pake ring float neck...dia blg pas dia tau ada ban kyk gitu dia lgs hunting cari..
emang dia gak bilang dia tau dari mana..tp gw yakinnnnnn pasti stlh liat foto caleb

asliiii beteeeee....
jarang2 gw post beginian di blog kan...hahahaha...
sngaja gw jg post di FB biar orangnya krasa..

the birthday celebration

cute moments here and there

Caleb went for his 12 months jab today. We took the pneumococcal jab 1st dosage at dr Lilian Lim.
Why not back to the clinic at paragon? because honestly I like dr lilian too..and I need to hear her opinion about caleb's eating cereals.

And so..I talked to her about Caleb loves cereals, oats and fruits..and rice (but only rice without anything else). This is her opinion: That it is okay to eat cereals. Dont worry about not getting enough nutritions. cereals and milk will give enough nutritions, the proof is Caleb alone..seeing him..we all agree he's growing well. It's just that we, asians, want our kids to eat what we eat..so if I want to get him used to eating other food..I need to start giving him this real food..try 30 mins..and after 30 mins over..no matter how much he eats..be it 1/4 bowl or half..take away everything n dont give any food. If another hour later he asks for food..give him the same food. keep doing til he get used to the new taste. it seems that caleb loves sweet taste, fruity taste or simply plain taste..but he doesnt like meaty or salty taste. But if I want to still give cereal..let's say once a day..that's okay too.

I do feel much better with what she told me. the other doctor's advice was to stop all kinds of cereals. I know he was right too. it's just that his advice was the harder way..while dr lilian's advice was the softer way..taking slower step..but I have more peace of mind..

oh yea..the cute moment I want to share is..

when we first entered the PD's room, Caleb smiled to her..
whoaa...it's obvious this little fella likes female doctor than male doctor!!
then when the doctor asked: "may I check your tummy?"
he behaved so sweet! he nodded his head a few times!!
what was that??? hahaha
the last time he visited a male doctor..he cried when he enteres the room and cried even louder when the doctor checked his tummy!!
and after all done..he even waved bye-bye to the doctor! haha

but I do notice that although he doesn't smile at camera as often as he was little..but he is still a smiley boy. He likes to greet people with a smile now..even to a stranger at mrt, the cashier lady at NTUC...or just everywhere...

he actually waved bye-bye alot today.. to the nurse at the clinic...and then when bought food at food court..he waved bye bye to the uncle..haizz ^^
alot of people today gave comments what a smiley baby he is :)

Anyway, his weight is now 10KG+
I knew he gained weight coz now I couldnt carry him with on hand..he's so heavy now!!

And there's another cute moment..
he's indeed very sweet today.
he kissed mommy and daddy many times today...
(tumben bangett..biasanya pelit!!haha)

Well..he's sleeping soundly now..
I hope he will sleep tightly and no fever after the jab

The celebration

we choose to celebrate the cutting cake and blow candle today (27/03) at gennext.
it seems to me that we made the right decision because if we really throw a big party for him..he will definetely get bored and cranky.
today is just nice..he enjoys the event of cutting cake n blow candle..
but when the people start to eat cakes and the food..he started to get so bored..
can u imagine if we have a 2 hour party for him?

yup we did take alot of photos of the cake, cupcakes...and caleb, of course!
oh the cake!!... I love love love it!!! caleb loves it too..he screamed and laughed when he saw the cow and pig figurines on the cake :)
it's really much better..beyond my expectation..it's much better than the one I saw in the photo..aunty yochana really did a great job modifying the design and she was so kind to put names on the cupcakes too..at first she told me there will be additional charge of it..so I cancelled the names..but when hubby picked up the cupcakes, the names are there...written nicely according to my request..surprise..surprise :)

Caleb's bday trip to the zoo

kita akhirnya decide utk ajak caleb jalan2 ke zoo
untung ngga ujan nih..yippee..tapi kalo seandainya ujan pun kita punya back up plan utk ajak dia ke underwater world yg tempatnya indoor..
tadinya water world itu malah 1st plan, tapi last minute kita ganti plan ke zoo gara2 pas nonton funniest animal home video, caleb ketawa2 :D

dan emang bener dia seneng sih di zoo..
dia ketawa jerit2 pas liat bebek pelican, baby goat, horse, polar bear and seal
pas liat giraffe, elephant dll dia juga enjoy tapi dia lbh suka nonton ke tempat/kandangnya langsung daripada nonton show attractionnya mungkin krn ga bisa liat dari deket banget

oh ya mana foto cake-nya? hihihi...kita emang sengaja ngga ngerayain potong kue pas tgl 24 nya..potong cake nya pas di youth service hari sabtu ini..
tadinya malah ngga mau dirayain..meaning: ngga undang2 temen2 dia yg kecil2, bagi2 goodie bags, bikin games, sewa badut (Apalagi!!)
menurut kita anak di bawah 3 taon belom ngerti deh artinya birthday
dikasi kado jg ngga ngerti
yg ada bikin perayaan gini, kita capek, cost more and..caleb bisa2 ngga enjoy malahan
tapi buat kita yg penting ada cake dan difoto krn itu kenangan kan..
tapi dipikir pikir kok sepi bgt cuma 3 bertiga di rumah..foto pake self timer hehehe
kasian bangett
akhirnya kita decide potong cake di gennext aja lah..skalian ada cici cici dan koko koko yang bday-nya berurutan sama caleb: 21-joyce, 22-lala, 23-ryan and 24-caleb
emang tetep ga pake games, decor, goodie bag or invi cards..cuma acara potong cake aja and pray, of course..

dan yg terpenting tgl 24-nya caleb enjoy!!!
makanya kita ke zoo :)

oh ya...a few days sblm caleb turns 1 year, dia finally make 3 steps by his own loh!!
we were sooo happy...and today (1 day after his bday) he made more steps and more confident doing it..we cheered him everytime he walked :D

oh yahhh...lastly, Happy Birthday yah sayang..
mommy loves you sooo much :)

Our 2nd anniversary-08/03/2010

this is our 2nd anniversary and now we have our little caleb with us
last year, he was still in my tummy
and there he is now..with his mommy and daddy :)

we had a great yummy dinner at jumbo seafood-clark quay
and had a great time, esp photo taking :)

caleb 11 months old

Exactly on 24th of february, the day he turned 11 months old, caleb finally dropped his 3rd nap!
yippee...a milestones right..

yuppp...so now he only naps twice a day. 1.5 hour in the morning and 1.5 hour in the afternoon. and he can be awake for 5 hours straight after his last nap..and not cranky!!!
but we still do put him to nap 3x if we are planning to go out til late.

other milestones...and mommy is proud to say:
first.. he can now stand alone without support or holding on for about 1-2 minutes!!!
I really hope he will soon start to walk..

second.. he understands our languange more and more..
yesterday i was having conversation with him:
M: caleb, will you promise mommy you will be a good boy today?
C: nod his head
M: caleb are u hungry now?
C: nod again
M: do you want to eat:
C: silent, no answer (OMG...he's hungry but dont want to eat???!!!)
M: (I showed him his fish porridge and asked him) do you want to eat this?
C: show disgust face
M: *faint (I will make u eat somehow haha)

Third.. he learns very hard to say mommy, daddy and his own name
he says daddy - Dadda ..or sometimes we can hear the word daddy if he tries very hard
he says mommy - momma
he says his own name - kay kay :)
he can also say go go, mam mam

fourth... he can now hold his own water bottle and drink from the bottle straw!!
yes...straw!!! :)
I once asked a friend when she introduced sa bottle straw to her son..and she said better wait til 1 year +...but caleb can do it already at 11 months..and I'm so happy that he learns fast

hmm ya..regarding eating!!!
this is soooo hard for meeee...my battle!!
Dr.Kumar said no more cereals! as he is going to be 1 year old soon...he can actually eat anything soon..and he has to get used to home cooking food by now.
once he gave me this statement..i know this is not going to be easy for caleb and me.
he loves loves cereals!! he eats alot and he eats well. I just realized that what caleb's eating is alot. back in jkt, when his popo and his aunt saw his bowl..they were surprised and wondered if caleb can finish the whole bowl..but he did...he mostly always finished his full bowl..(if it's cereal!!).

but now..I have to change his preference..from cereal to home cooking.
and this is my 5th day..and oh my...it's still hard! he refused everything...fish, chicken, pork, rice..
I only have 1 breakthrough...I cook him oatmeals..and he actually loves it.
at first I thought he would reject it coz of the texture is not as smooth as cereal or his porridge..but he can eat it!
so I mix the oats with milk, fruits...and yesterday i mix it with mash potato and pork.
but today when i mix it with chicken..he rejected the food. I guess he doesnt like the taste of any chicken, beef, etc if the taste is too strong..

til now..I'm still struggling how to make him like these food.
no matter what the fact is, I still believe that my son is a good eater!
pls support me in prayer..as I need wisdom, patience, preserverence and creativity...
being a mother is really not that easy right?? u have more challenges...and 24 hour responsibility!
