on a date with hubby

christmas blessing!

these 2 days we have been going out - just me n hubby only
it's been ages since we went out, just the 2 of us.
it felt really good.

caleb was asleep when we left him.
and we got ci nawa's maid stay over for 10 days in our place.
it took me big courage to make a step out of the house, leaving caleb alone with the maid. although he's sleeping but it was my first time leaving him while he's sleeping.
It's scary to think that that he would wake up and look for his mom and dad. poor baby.. but thank God, he's sleeping through.

I was planning to make a call to home for every 30 minutes. I was so tempted to do it. but then I think again..so what if he woke up..there was nothing I could do..the journey to home would take us 20 minutes..that was long enough for caleb to wait for us if he really woke up, plus it would ruin this opportunity.
so finally i just made a call twice, not 4x as i planned haha...and everytime I called, he was still asleep.

It's good to get away from your baby sometimes. you need to have a break right.
you need privacy with your hubby too.
I'm looking forward to this kind of opportunity again.

Happy 9 months old

My baby is 9 months old now..time really flies fast
he was this tiny baby..who can only lie down: sleep, milk, sleep, milk

and now he can sit, crawl, walk - oh yes..walking! he walks while holding on the table or sofa. he did that last week..before he hit 9m, he walked!
he can say 'mama' too
really touching moment when he looked at me and said mama
I'm not sure whether he understands the meaning of mama..but I'm sure soon enough he knows

he's really growing up so fast

cant wait when he can talk hihihi...
hubby said he will ask many questions to daddy
and keep nagging :D

we won...again!!

it's amazing how caleb's been a blessing
last week he won us 2 lucky draws^^ yup 2 in just 1 week.
on tuesday we won $100 pigeon vouchers. on friday somebody rang our door to deliver us 5 sets of baby IQ dvd worth more than $100 plus 1 can of similac milk.

I remember I filled up a form for this lucky draw about 2 months ago..
can't believe we won the prize ^_^

cereals Vs Porridge

for the past 2 months, caleb has been in lack appetite for porridge. My homemade porridge. he just refused and closed his lips tightly.
I've tried giving cheese, some chicken stocks, vege stock, pigeon soup stocks which is tasty because of the salt in it..but he just refused.
I did taste it. Even when hubby and I think the food taste yummy..he won't take it!

and so I feed him cereals. Nestle is his fave...any kind of flavour: mixed vege, mixed fruit, apple and cranberry, grean bean, wheat n honey, chicken flavour..he likes all nestle products. I know it's sweet coz it contains sugar. Many people will not choose this brand because of the sugar. I had my dilemma.
but I would rather give my son food that he likes and he will eat than he doens't eat at all.
Of course, I still make fruit puree and caleb takes it well. pear, apple, avocado,papaya, pumpkin - at least there are food that is not instantly prepared like cereals.

Some mothers tell me that if babies refuse to eat porridge, maybe they want rice.
I keep thinking about it. Because there is nothing wrong with the food I cook. It taste yummy. If I taste it and I don't like it, I can understand if caleb refused it. but if it's nice and he still doesn't like it, maybe it's true..it is because of the porridge. I should try rice. very soft rice. but when should I start it? he is not yet 9 months old...will it be too early for him to eat rice?

but if nothing else works, I bet it's just teething. teething is so baddd baddd..
I once read that it can baby fussy and picky over meal.

oh well..

Last time he got us free pizza.
and now...

Now he won us $100 pigeon voucher!!!!!
and with that voucher we just bought lots lots of wet wipes and bottle cleansers, some bottle brush, some pigeon snacks, toothbrush, teats, and many more..
and this is our stocks for the next 3-4 months. cool!! :)

caleb..oh..caleb..

my sonnn...udah 8 bulan akhirnya..4 bulan lagi 1 tahun!! cepet sekaleee yaaa...tapi mommy still cant wait to see u walk and talk! yesss...when he talks< i think he will be cute..he will ask alot of questions and I will simply say: why dont you ask daddy? hihihi ^^ sounds like a plan!!

well...caleb is caleb...since he was a newborn, his grandpa knew he is one lil active and playful boy..well indeed, he is correct. he is getting more and more active and playful!! he is one expressive boy too..you can always tell whether he is happy, bored, lonely, or angry. he will say it!! say it with his giggling laughter..he is very joyful..say it with a smile..he is in a good mood and smiles to.. simply a stranger in mrt!!... say it with a scream..he is either bored or angry...yup..that's my caleb!

regarding eating...this has always been an issue if teething comes.
it can make him a picky eater. He has been refusing my homemade porridge, but has been taking nestle cereals very well..he eats 1 full bowl, 3x a day. that makes him chubby hihi..
but today..i dunno what...but i still blame teething!.. he suddenly is fussy again over his fave nestle cereals *sigh*
I hate meal time to be a struggle..it's supposed to be fun, u know..
and i'm worried if he doesnt eat well...:(((

I hope tomorrow he gets his appetite back..
I"m thinking to go back to porridge..maybe he's bored with cereal..who knows..
